Contribute to DARIAH infrastructure and to the SSH Open Marketplace

Updated: May 31, 2023

Call for contributions

The DARIAH-CH community is called to contribute to the DARIAH infrastructure and to the SSH Open Marketplace. Come and add your pieces of work, and thus you help us continuing building these research infrastructures!

The Social Sciences and Humanities Open Marketplace, built as part of the Social Sciences and Humanities Open Cloud project (SSHOC), is a discovery portal which pools and contextualises resources for Social Sciences and Humanities research communities. The resources added on the SSH Open Marketplace may belong to five main categories: tools, services, training materials, datasets, publications and workflows, and should comply to criteria such as the relevance of the resource for the SSH field or the degree of compliance with Open Science (see here all four inclusion criteria).

Types of contributions:

  • Publications with full reference with DOIs or other persistent identifiers : to be shared directly on the SSH Open Marketplace

  • Workflows: to be shared diretly on the SSH Open Marketplace

  • DH courses, slides, videos, or posters that can be reused as education or training material: to be shared on DARIAH Zenodo, DARIAH CAMPUS, DH Course Registry or the SSH Open Marketplace.

  • Software/code of a specialized application that has been or is being developed within your team and is made available under a permissive license for reuse: to be shared directly on the SSH Open Marketplace

  • Training and education activities/events that you produced that were open to members of the DARIAH community: to be shared on DARIAH CAMPUS

  • (Online) access to resources (datasets), web applications and web services that allow programmatic access to the data (API): to be shared directly on the SSH Open Marketplace

  • Processing service, i.e. digital service that applies some algorithmic processing (statistical analysis, annotation) on given data, or provides means to edit/curate data (e.g. web interface for collaborative editing): to be shared directly on the SSH Open Marketplace

On the SSH Open Marketplace, you can add new resources and/or enrich existing resources. This is an opportunity to:

  • promote your own work by adding the resources you’ve created as items in the Marketplace

  • to support the uptake of the tools you use in your work on a daily basis by creating or enriching the records of the resources you are familiar with.

Procedure:

Contributing to the SSH Open Marketplace is possible by signing in using your institutional credentials. Please, read use these Guidelines and the documentation about the service and the data population. If you need support, please contact the DARIAH-CH coordination office: dariah-ch@dasch.swiss

For contributing directly to the DARIAH infrastructure, i.e. services, tools and training, please contact the DARIAH-CH coordination office: dariah-ch@dasch.swiss
