10–11 November 2026 · National Library of the Czech Republic, Klementinum, Prague · Registration deadline: 31 October 2026

Introduction

Are you a researcher working with digitised library collections as research data, or are you responsible for library collections that researchers want to use? Then this lunch-to-lunch workshop in Prague is for you.

The workshop is organised by the DARIAH Library Working Group and the CLARIN & Libraries Initiative together with the ELC-DHLR project: Enhancing Library Collections for Digital Humanities and Language Research, funded through the Swiss–Czech Cooperation Programme to support collaboration between national nodes of European Research Infrastructure Consortia (ERICs).

The event is conceived as a community workshop focused on topics such as enhancing library collections through technical innovation and creating sustainable, user-friendly ecosystems that directly support digital humanities and language research. The workshop aims to foster exchange, knowledge transfer, and synergies between libraries and research infrastructures.

About ELC-DHLR

ELC-DHLR (2026–2028) aims to make digitised library collections research-ready for digital humanities and language research. The project improves OCR, metadata and enrichment, and develops user-friendly access and tools, such as the DL-enricher platform, the Kramerius Research Workspace and an AI query assistant for corpus tools. The project partners are Charles University, the Library of the Czech Academy of Sciences, the Moravian Library and the National Library of the Czech Republic in Czechia, and the University of Zurich, ETH Zurich and the Swiss Data and Service Center for the Humanities DaSCH in Switzerland.
