Review period: The call for papers for the DARIAH Annual Event 2026 on the topic of Digital Arts and Humanities With and For Society: Building Infrastructures of Engagement closed earlier this month. We are extremely happy to have received the very high number of 204 submissions for this year's event! Currently, the Annual Event Programme Committee and reviewers are reviewing this high number of submissions, authors should expect to hear news on their submissions at the end of February.
Registration: Registration to the conference will open on February 15. Please note that this year, the DARIAH Annual Event will charge a modest registration fee for all participants, including those invited to present accepted proposals, so that we can continue to provide a world-class event in light of rising costs. Nevertheless, we are sensitive to the reality that such a fee can create unwelcome barriers for an event that is as much about community as it is about research. As such, there will be a number of fee waivers. Find more information here.
Keynote speaker: We are very happy to share details of this year's keynote speech. We will be welcoming Andreas Fickers, Director of the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH), 3rd Interdisciplinary Center at the University of Luxembourg and head of its Digital History Lab, who will be talking about "Multimodality as a means for multivocality? Transmedia storytelling and the challenges of shared authority in digital public humanities".
