A New Director for DARIAH: General Assembly Appoints Sally Chambers
Sally Chambers, Digital Humanities Research Coordinator at Ghent Centre for Digital Humanities, Ghent University and Project Coordinator at KBR, Royal Library of Belgium, has been appointed by the General Assembly as Director for DARIAH. She will take on the new role from March 1st, 2022.
“I am delighted to have been offered the opportunity to contribute to DARIAH as part of the Board of Directors. This is a crucial period for future-proofing DARIAH’s role in the sustainable delivery of services and data infrastructure for arts and humanities researchers in the context of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC)” said Sally Chambers.
Chambers has a strong international profile at the intersection of digital cultural heritage and digital humanities, with over 15 years of professional experience in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. Her areas of scholarly expertise include digital (digitised and born-digital) cultural heritage, collections as data and GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) Labs.
