About the event
Cultural heritage collections held by galleries, libraries, archives and museums (GLAM) are a cornerstone of arts and humanities research — but working with them brings its own data challenges, from fragmented standards to the gap between "metadata" and the real workflows researchers need to reuse this material responsibly.
This session is part of the SSH Open Marketplace Training Series 2026, an eight-part series of online hands-on workshops organised by the SSH Open Marketplace Editorial Board to strengthen FAIR and digital research competencies, following the FAIR-by-design methodology developed in skills4EOSC. This sixth session, "Thematic: GLAM institutions," brings together speakers from the ECHOES project, the SSH Open Marketplace and ETH Library to look at cultural heritage and GLAM data specifically.
